March 2020/  How long will the Senior Center be closed? 

We are closed at least until May and will re-evaluate the situation at that time.  Please call the main Center number for updates at 763-497-8900.

March 2020/ What happens when the Center is closed during this COVID-19 pandemic? 

The Meals-on-Wheels program is still operating unless otherwise notified.  The Senior Center itself is CLOSED until further notice.  If a Senior Citizen is in need of Meals-on-Wheels delivery please call 763-497-8900 and leave a message or email vwaters@crowriverseniorcenter.com and provide detail.  

March 2020 / AARP Tax-Aide what happens to my appointment? 

AARP Tax-Aide is currently suspended.  All appointments have been canceled at this time.  We will do our best to reschedule everyone when the Center is open again.  The government has extended the tax season for filing by 90 days at this time.  We honestly do not know any more than this at this time.  


What types of programs are offered at the Center?

Varied activities, trips, health, education, and recreation. The Center is a place for seniors to meet others, and gather for fun and information.

Is there a charge to belong to the Center?

No. There are no membership fees. The Center is a joint program of the City of St. Michael, the City of Albertville, the City of Hanover, and Senior Community Services. The programming is done by the staff of Senior Community Services, which is a United Way Agency. Volunteers are needed to assist with programs and monetary donations are always appreciated.

Do you have to be a resident of St. Michael to participate in the Center’s programs?

No, the Center is open to anyone and will focus on serving the communities and surrounding areas of Albertville, Hanover, and St. Michael.

Is there a senior dining program in St. Michael?

Noon meals are served at the Center on Tuesday through Friday when the Center is open for business. The cost is $4.00. Reservations are needed by 1 PM the Friday prior to the week eating by calling the Center at 763-497-8900.

Is there a Meals on Wheels program?

Arrangements for home delivery of meals can be made by calling the Crow River Senior Center at 763-497-8900. Meals are $4.50 per meal and delivered Tuesday through Friday only.  

Is there a senior transportation service?


In addition to the Trailblazer System, individual rides are available through the following services:

  • Wright County Volunteer Driver Program – 763-682-7487
  • Great River Area Faith In Action (Sherburne County) – 763-263-4277

There are several transportation alternatives available. Call the Center at 763-497-8900 or Central Minnesota Council on Aging at 1-800-333-2433 or 320-654-5319 for more information.

Are Health Clinics offered in St. Michael?

**During Covid-19 Pandemic this program is on hold.  **

Yes, Wright County Public Health offers a 60+ Health Clinic every other month at the Crow River Senior Center in the City Center Building. This clinic offers toenail trimming for a $15 fee and free blood pressure checks. Call 763-682-7456 for more information.

Are senior driving classes offered?

Daytime classes are offered at the Senior Center. For more information call 763-497-8900
Evening classes are offered through STMA Community Education. For more information, please call 763-497-6550

Are trips offered through the Center?

Yes, day trips are offered through the Center. There is information on trips offered at the Center as well as on our Events and Calendar pages. Extended stay trips are offered through Senior Community Services and information and brochures are available at the Center. Additional day trips are offered through Community Education.

Casino Trips –  are offered on the 3rd Wednesday of every other month. The bus leaves at 8:30 AM from the St. Michael City Center Westside parking lot.  Address is 11800 Town Center Dr., St. Michael. For more information contact Donna Dusha at 763-497-1815 . Registration is NOT taken at the Senior Center must call Donna directly.   

Are there support groups offered in the area?

Alzheimer’s Support Group & Education is offered at the Senior Center.  Check our newsletter for updates on dates and times. 

Wright County offers several support groups in the area. Some of the groups include Parkinson’s, Grief, and Alzheimers.  Here is a link to the Wright County Health and Human Services website with services available for Seniors in Wright County.
